A spiritual family, armored in prayer, and engaging the community.

Lowell Street United Methodist church was organized in 1912 in the Greenwood Mill Village. The sanctuary and fellowship hall were built in 1920 and in 1960 an education wing was added. This is a former mill church located two blocks from where the mill once stood.

With a membership of 110, and an average Sunday morning worship attendance of 55; this congregation ranges in age from 13 months - 92 years with varying educational backgrounds ranging from retired mill-workers, students, and housewives to educators and business men and business women. The church is blessed with preschool to youth aged children.

This is a forward looking and moving congregation that intentionally reaches beyond the walls to engage with the community and beyond for the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
